This electronic document is based on an Internet site design,
in so much as the navigation through the site is provided by the
use of navigation buttons and hyperlinks.
Although not essential, advanced features of this document
require your computer to be connected to the Internet while this

The site is arranged in a hierarchical manner, the arrangement
of the site is always visible by way of a 'tree' structure that
is on the left hand side of the screen.
Navigation through the document is facilitated by the use of

located within the 'tree' of the document, clicking on a button
will advance to the next 'branch' of the document.
There are two types of navigations button,

the buttons with the minus symbol show the path you have taken
and the blue text next to the last minus button shows your current
location within the 'tree', selecting a minus button further up
the 'tree' will take you back to an earlier (higher) document,
selecting a positive button will take you further down that particular
branch or allow access to more information on the highlighted
path. Actual content is to be found on the right hand side of
the screen, within this text you may find hyperlinks (e.g. www.doh.gov.uk\policy.htm)
to information contained within or outside this site, assuming
you are connected to the internet, clicking on a hyperlink will
open a new window on your browser and display the referred document,
simply close the new window once you have read the information
and you will be back within this site.
If you receive an error while trying to use a hyperlink, check
to ensure you are connected to the Internet.
A note about printing.
As with many web sites, printing a page in portrait style can
lead to parts of the page being 'cut off', to avoid this, set
your printer to landscape printing before printing a page, this
way you will get all the information on the page.
For people who are new to this document, we recommend you use
